As a physician-led movement, the ACC relies on member leaders to spread the word about health care reform and Quality First. These "Quality First ambassadors" have a great interest -- and like all health care providers, a great stake -- in health care reform. They are subject-matter experts, and are able to speak on a variety of Quality First-related topics, including:

• Health IT
• Comparative effectiveness
• Transparency/Public reporting
• Registry use
• Performance measures/guidelines
• Quality initiatives

Quality First ambassadors are the heart of the campaign to transform health care from the inside out. Through their efforts, the provider community will be better informed and more prepared to participate in health care reform discussions now and in the future.
